Jackson Mahomes checks in for Chiefs-Falcons 'SNF' showdown at Mercedes-Benz Stadium
The Kansas City Chiefs are visiting the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night, and their star quarterback has an important guest on the sidelines.
Just over an hour before game time, Patrick Mahomes' younger brother Jackson posted this Instagram Story of himself inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The image bore no caption, just a view of one of the ends of the stadium.
The game marks Mahomes' first since turning 29 on Tuesday (his wife Brittany threw the party two days in advance). In an Instagram post, Jackson called him "bro bro."
Their mother, Randi, and half-sister, Mia Bliss, also attended the party, but not their father. And based on a post by Mecole Hardman's fiancee, Chariah Gordon, Taylor Swift also showed up.
Ahead of Chiefs' first road game, Patrick Mahomes talks about using FaceTime
After two straight home wins, the Chiefs are traveling for the first time in 2024 against the Falcons. That usually means Patrick Mahomes is the first of his family out of Kansas City for a game; then the rest follow, as shown by their social media posts.
So, how is he able to keep in touch with wife Brittany; children Sterling Skye and Patrick Lavon III, aka "Bronze"; Randi; and Jackson? Speaking to People on Friday, he said that he uses FaceTime to do so:
“It makes the distance feel a little smaller when I’m on the road.”
But, of course, using FaceTime will not be possible without a connection. And that is where his partnership with mobile network carrier T-Mobile kicks in.
“T-Mobile has always been about connecting people, and that's something I really value, especially with my family and me always on the go," Mahomes said. "Plus, their team is just awesome to work with — always full of energy and down to get creative together.”
Brittany is expecting their third child. While no due date has been revealed, Mahomes is ready for when it happens:
“It’s a really special time for our family. We're all so excited.”
Kickoff for the Chiefs-Falcons game is at 8:20 PM ET on NBC.
