Jaguars rumors: Trevor Lawrence, Gabe Davis get into heated sideline altercation vs Colts
Heading into Week 5, the Jacksonville Jaguars were the only team in the NFL without a win. They played their division rival, the Indianapolis Colts, in Week 5, and, despite a late scare, won 37-34.
However, during the first quarter, there was reportedly a verbal dispute on the sidelines between Trevor Lawrence and Gabe Davis.
The incident occurred after the Jaguars hd failed to convert a 4th and 2 on the game's opening drive. Davis, who signed a three-year $39 million contract with the Jaguars this past offseason, had nine receptions for 121 yards heading into this game.
Davis fumbled the ball at the end of the second quarter, and Jaguars fans were visibly upset with the receiver. Hopefully, with a win against the Colts, things will work out between the players, as all are frustrated with the kind of start they have had to the season.
Jaguars face the Bears in London next week
Following the game against the Colts, Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars travel to London, where they will have their next two games. Firstly, they play the Chicago Bears before facing the New England Patriots in Week 7.
The Jaguars have a huge fanbase in London, so they will hope to get their season back on track with wins against the Bears and Patriots.
Lawrence signed a five-year $275 million contract extension this offseason, and after a slow start to the season, he had a big game against the Colts. In Week 5, he threw for 371 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception while completing 82.3% of his throws, The Jaguars quarterback will try to build on it and prove his critics wrong while improving team chemistry.
