Jalen Hurts or Patrick Mahomes? Skip Bayless drops Super Bowl prediction
Super Bowl LVII is two days away, and the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs are gearing up to fight for another Lombardi to place in their trophy case.
The matchup is one of the most even matchups as both number-one seeds from each conference will face off. Each team boasted a 14-3 regular-season record, but each team had different paths to the Super Bowl.
On "Undisputed," analyst and lifelong Cowboys fan Skip Bayless gave his pick on-air. He is going with Jalen Hurts and the Eagles to win.
Bayless said:
"I believe in Jalen Hurts. I have since the start. I believe in his character. I believe in his guts. I believe in his heart. I believe in his leadership. I believe in his playmaking. I believe he will make a few more plays than Patrick Mahomes. I believe that the biggest reason the Eagles win this game will be Jalen Hurts. And I also believe it will be close in higher scoring. I'm going 30-27 Philadelphia."
"And by the way, I'm a Cowboys fan. I hate the Philadelphia Eagles. I hate them! But I love me some Jalen Hurts, and I believe in him on the biggest stage, even though he's never played on this stage."
Cowboys Micah Parsons and CeeDee Lamb are also rooting for the Eagles to win.
The Philadelphia Eagles enter the Super Bowl as -1.5 point favorites over the Kansas City Chiefs
Once the matchup was finalized following the Chiefs' victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship, the Eagles entered the game as the favorites to win the Super Bowl.
The spread has remained the same through the last two weeks and is a very close line.
The Eagles are a -125 moneyline spread while the Chiefs are a +105 moneyline spread. In other words, the odds are almost 50-50.
Of course, odds mean nothing, as the only score that matters will be the final score of the game once it concludes.
The two teams are set to face each other on Sunday, February 12, at 6:30 PM ET at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
