Jalen Hurts speaks on 'eclectic' Eagles environment after important road wins

While the alleged rift between Philadelphia Eagles stars Jalen Hurts and A. J. Brown is being talked about, the quarterback has appeared in an interview with GQ Sports with Matthew Roberson.

The Eagles, perched at the top of the NFC East, have an 11-2 record. The team has had commanding performances in the ongoing NFL season, both at home and away.

Most recently, on December 2 (24-19), they toppled the Baltimore Ravens and pulled off an eight-game winning streak. In previous games, the Eagles were able to take home wins in cities like Los Angeles, Dallas, and even as far as Brazil during a neutral-site opener.

Speaking to the publication, Jalen Hurts has opened up about the team's mood in the team flight post-win during important road games.

"The plane environment is eclectic," Hurts said with a chuckle. "Everyone is processing what happened in their own way, that’s what makes it special. That’s always fun."
"You may have a gang of teammates watching the film together, you may have a gang of teammates talking about the game, you may have a gang of teammates joking and enjoying themselves. It’s a great environment, for sure."

This season, Hurts’ leadership has been a cornerstone of the Philadelphia Eagles' success.

Jalen Hurts reveals the NFL team which he is always thrilled to clash against

As the conversation rolled with the interviewer, the Philadelphia Eagles QB shared no other NFL teams bring him as much excitement as returning to Houston and playing against the Texans. For him, returning to his hometown is a deeply personal experience.

"It’s always great to go to the places where you win," Jalen Hurts said. "But for me, it’s always great to go back to Houston. I am at home when I’m in Houston. I’ve only had the opportunity to play there once, but all of my childhood was there. For that game, I had about 30 family and friends. That was a great moment, for sure."

Despite the emotional pull of hometown games, he tries to remain consistent as much as possible through FaceTime with family and via "daily prayers, devotionals, sometimes listening to church or good music."

Before attending the University of Alabama (2016–2018) and the University of Oklahoma (2019), Hurts studied at Channelview High School in Texas.
