Jamal Crawford makes wildest Tom Brady popularity claim yet
Tom Brady is one of the most popular athletes in the world, and is arguably the greatest American football player ever. However, Brady wasn't popular from the start, and former NBA star Jamal Crawford recently spoke about it.
Crawford recently claimed that at one point he was much more popular than Brady was. Although it came as a shocking statement at first, Crawford didn't lie about it.
Here's what Jamal Crawford said on the Draymond Green Podcast:
"My mom's lights cut off, like we got to get between paying the light bill even in my mind my sister's school tuition whatever it might be. It removes that pressure so I think it was in a lot of people Chris Webber oh guys want electoral you don't say like I come from hard, hard beginning."
Crawford added:
"So, I like it and like you said this is downsides to it too but like anything, it's how do you navigate what it is like being an MBA right in sports. We all know if we weren't in the position that we were in and some things that we may have done happen it wouldn't be a store but since we're in this position we have this light on this is sort of been talked about."
"So. it's just about how you navigate it, how you handle it, there's no perfect answer, but I would love to see I'm gonna have my own students section emissions. The crowd had pierced through the section our school and I had a headband called The copper crisis at that time."
He continued:
"True story. I'm not saying this to brag, I was at school with Tom Brady. I was more popular on campus than he was at that time because Drew Hansen a quarterback there, and he was gonna like the guy. So yeah, it's it's crazy to see up the formula. That's crazy, I think."
Tom Brady was undermined not only in college, but also in the NFL. He was the 199th pick in the 2000 NFL Draft, and not many believed in him. However, he proved them all wrong and has now won more Super Bowls himself than any other NFL franchise.
Jamal Crawford, on the other hand, is still quite popular among avid hoopers, but as of now, his popularity is no match compared to Brady's popularity.
Tom Brady has had a very glorious career
Tom Brady has a resume like no other in the NFL. He has won the Super Bowl seven times and holds the majority of records when it comes to quarterbacks.
His story is unlike everyone else's, but it is encouraging to many. Despite being a late draft pick, he seized his opportunity and never looked back. Everyone has seen Brady's greatness with both the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since then.
Tom Brady is unlikely to retire after this season, and we could possibly see him on his third different team in the NFL next season.
