Jason Kelce comes clean on rumors surrounding his retirement post Super Bowl LVII

The Kelce brothers will be squaring off for the Lombardi Trophy in little more than a week, but both are well past the dreaded 30-year mark. As such, fans have speculated about the future of both brothers depending on how the big game goes. However, one brother has gotten in front of the idea.

According to The Athletic via Sports Illustrated, Jason Kelce claimed the big game had little effect on whether he decides to hang up. Here's how he put it:

"From everybody I’ve been told about when it’s time to retire or not, you just know when you know. It’s going to be when you don’t want to play football anymore. I don’t think winning this game is going to determine whether I want to continue to play football or not," said Jason Kelce.

Will the Kansas City Chiefs or Philadelphia Eagles win Super Bowl LVII?

Retiring after the Super Bowl would mark a close to 12-year career for Jason. Based on how his next game goes, he would retire as either a one-time or two-time Super Bowl champion.

Travis, meanwhile, could also retire as a one-time or two-time champion depending on how the game goes on Sunday.

Either way, both brothers would likely prefer to have the option of going out on top like other stars.

However, both brothers will likely hope to gain an edge in bragging rights as well.
