Jason Kelce reveals wife Kylie's pet name inspired from 'baby kangaroo'
It’s common among couples to have cute nicknames for each other. Ex-Eagles star Jason Kelce has one for his wife, Kylie, even though she doesn’t enjoy the concept of nicknames. Regarding nicknames, Kelce recently revealed his pet name for Kylie, which she has no issues with.
Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie appeared on Tuesday’s “Good Mythical Morning” show. During his appearance, the retired NFL star revealed his adorable nickname for his wife, Kylie, inspired by a “baby kangaroo.”
"I call her Joe because when she played field hockey she reminded me of a baby kangaroo, the way she was squatted down," Kelce said. "So I called her Joey, narrowed it down to Joe. That's my only nickname." (10:47)
Moving forward, Kylie Kelce claimed to have no problem with Jason calling him “Joe.” However, there are certain nicknames that she cannot tolerate being addressed with.
"(Yeah) That one is fine. There's certain nicknames, sweetie, babe, baby, hun honey, you can only be called that those things by like a waitress in a diner and stuff," Kylie said while revealing the list of those nicknames she didn't like. "And otherwise in Philadelphia, it takes on this sort of like okay hun. Like it's almost like blast your heart. It just feels aggressive in a way that is not welcome." (11:08)
Kylie Kelce’s friendly shots at husband Jason and Travis Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast
Kylie followed in her husband Jason Kelce’s footsteps in her podcasting career and launched her first-ever podcast, “Not Gonna Lie,” in November. During the latest episode of her podcast, which aired on Thursday, Kylie fired friendly shots at her husband and brother-in-law Travis Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.
"Unlike my husband and brother-in-law, I don't have all the time in the world. I have actually have to watch their podcast in segments," Kylie said. "I have to break it up over the course of probably a week sometimes. I don't have time like that."
"I'm assuming that people listening to this are in a similar boat," she added. "(Especially) Busy, maybe moms, that just don't have all day to be tuning into all podcast. So we will do our absolute best to keep this podcast under 45 minutes. That is including the guest interviews so that you don't feel like you missed anything," she said. (2:58)
Per Spotify, Kylie Kelce’s podcast has overtaken Joe Rogan’s podcast for first position in the list of top 100 podcasts in the United States. However, NY radio host Gregg Giannotti refused to believe in it.
