Jason Kelce's wife Kylie expresses 'disbelief' on NGL podcast beating Joe Rogan for No.1 ranking in US
After only one episode, Jason Kelce's wife Kylie's "Not Gonna Lie" podcast already achieved massive success. Her show beat "The Joe Rogan Experience" for the No.1 spot in Spotify's top 100 podcasts in the United States.
During Thursday's episode, Kylie Kelce talked about its success and said that she was in "disbelief." She also thanked her fans for their support and their encouraging reactions.
"You guys were again way too nice about this show," Kylie said (01:03). "It absolutely blew my mind that you guys were able to get 'not going to lie' to the number one spot on Apple and Spotify. I'm still in disbelief about that the way that everyone has not only been so kind in the anticipation for episode one.
"But then, also the reactions you guys have had and the comments have been so encouraging. I really appreciate you guys having such positive feedback considering I'm still a rookie and we're working out the kinks."
Kylie Kelce revealed the backstory behind launching NGL podcast
Kylie Kelce launched her first-ever podcast in November and it has been a huge hit. She opened up about the reason why she decided to have her show.
"I decided to do a podcast because at the end of the day, I tried to stay quiet and sort of do the Homer Simpson roll back into the hedge and no one was allowing it," Kylie said on Thursday (0:47). "There were still articles and people talking about our family.
“So here's the deal: If you're going to talk about our family and you're going to talk about me, you might as well hear it from me. I ran this idea past Jason, my parents, my friends and everyone just sort of said 'Yeah, do it.' So I couldn't find someone that would discourage me."
Jason and Kylie appeared on the "Good Mythical Morning" show on Tuesday. During one of the segments, Jason revealed having a kangaroo-inspired nickname for Kylie, which she has no problems with. However, Kylie ended up listing certain nicknames that she does now allow Jason to use.
