Jawaan Taylor Chiefs contract details: How much will OT earn at Kansas City?

Offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor has found a new home. The former starting tackle for the Jacksonville Jaguars inked a four-year, $80 million deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. The deal includes $60 million in guaranteed money, and Taylor is expected to be the team's starting left tackle this season.

Taylor was drafted in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. The Jaguars took him with the 35th-overall pick out of Florida, and he's been a starter on their offensive line for the last four seasons.

Jacksonville entered free agency cash-strapped, especially after their franchise tagged Evan Engram after paying Calvin Ridley for the season following his reinstatement.

Kansas City decided to move on from left tackle Orlando Brown, who is seeking more money in free agency. The Chiefs franchise tagged him last offseason and thought about it again this offseason before deciding to let him walk in free agency.

Taylor is a quality starter who will be a cheaper option at left tackle for the Chiefs.

Two of the league's top five offensive tackles have found new homes on the first day of free agency. Taylor isn't the only free agent left tackle to ink a new deal today. Offensive tackle Mike McGlinchey inked a massive five-year, $87.5 million deal.

They are both regarded as two of the top offensive tackles that are free agents. Orlando Brown is considered the number one free agent and will likely get a bigger contract than those two.

Falcons offensive tackle Kaleb McGary and New England Patriot Isiah Wynn are two other offensive tackles that could sign big deals this offseason.

Deals are being agreed upon all throughout the day, but nothing becomes official until deals are signed on Wednesday.
