Jayden Daniels' mom puts NFL on notice after Commanders QB spearheads stunning comeback win vs. Eagles
Jayden Daniels' mother sent a short yet strong message to the NFL after her son put on another show against the Philadelphia Eagles. In a duel that could define the 2024 NFC East champion, the rookie quarterback played like a seasoned veteran to lead his team to another dramatic victory.
After the Commanders secured the win, his mother and agent, Regina Jackson, took to X (formerly Twitter) to pump up the kid and put the rest of the NFL on notice about what is coming.
"Don't Eva forget his name!!! JD5," she tweeted on Sunday.
Jayden Daniels and the Commanders pulled off a huge win against one of the best teams in the NFL, returning from a 21-7 deficit and overcoming turnovers and facing the best defense in the league thanks to their quarterback. Daniels was on a mission today, and despite the rough start to the duel, he kept the NFC East race alive ahead of the final two games of the season.
The Commanders will host the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday on primetime before visiting their archrivals, the Dallas Cowboys to close out the regular season.
Magic Johnson was ecstatic after Jayden Daniels, Commanders impressive comeback win
Not only Regina Jackson but NBA legend Magic Johnson was also happy to see Jayden Daniels thrive in a huge game for the Washington Commanders' playoffs and division title aspirations.
The five-time NBA champion took to X to send a message to Daniels and the fans about the immediate future of this team.
"Wow!! Jayden Daniels worked his magic once again to pull us to a comeback victory over the Eagles! An incredible last second touchdown to Crowder 👏🏾 @Commanders fans, it looks like we’ll be going to the playoffs with a 10-5 record!" he tweeted.
A week ago, Johnson urged the team's offensive line to take better care of Daniels after the rookie quarterback was sacked eight times.
They did a much better job this week as Daniels was only stopped behind the scrimmage line once. In contrast, he completed 24 of 39 pass attempts for 258 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions.
The Commanders looked lost in recent weeks, but this win should give them a boost for the rest of the regular season.
