Jayden Reed injury update: Latest on Packers WR for fantasy football Week 2

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed had a remarkable Week 1 performance against the Philadelphia Eagles. They couldn't get past the Eagles in the first-ever NFL game in Brazil, but Reed made a strong impression on those who watched him at Corinthians Arena and the fans who tuned in from the rest of the world.

After Jordan Love went down with a knee injury right before the end of the Week 1 duel, Packers fans and fantasy managers could have another problem at hand with Reed. Let's take a look at how this weekend can play out for the wide receiver and his teams.

Jayden Reed injury update

Packers reporter Matt Schneidman reported that Reed was added to the injury report as a limited participant in Friday's practice. As this indicates, there were no signs of Reed dealing with any issue during the week, but the Packers are cautious ahead of their Week 2 game against the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday, listing Reed as questionable.

Reed put on a show against the Eagles, being targeted six times and catching four passes for 138 yards and one touchdown. If that wasn't enough, he showed off his versatility by rushing the ball for a 33-yard touchdown.

The Packers gave the same status to MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) and Jordan Love (knee). The Colts ruled out safety Julian Blackmon (shoulder) and listed three players questionable: DT DeForest Buckner (back), DE Kwity Paye (hamstring) and WR Josh Downs (ankle).

Jayden Reed fantasy outlook 2024

Jayden Reed excelled in his first season in the NFL, getting better as the weeks went by, finishing the campaign on a strong note. He helped his squad make it to the postseason's second round, where the San Francisco 49ers sent them home.

This season, everybody looked poised to be even better, including Reed. He demonstrated clear chemistry with Jordan Love, but with the quarterback out of action, it'll be harder for Reed to succeed and pick up where he left off last week. He could still put on decent numbers while Love is out, but there's no doubt he would have a better chance to shine with the young quarterback by his side.

The Packers face a Colts team who fought hard to win but couldn't beat the Houston Texans in a thrilling game. This is one of the most attractive games of the week, especially considering the type of talent on the pitch.
