Jerry Jeudy,  K.J. Hamler slams reports about Russell Wilson: "Got the whole world fooled"

Narratives about Russell Wilson and the rest of the Denver Broncos have come fast and furious this year. A team that only needed a quarterback was able to land one of the offseason's most prized players and had genuine Super Bowl aspirations. Now, they're 4-11, without a head coach and heading nowhere.

Wilson has understandably come under fire for his performance and for the team's record. However, Jerry Jeudy believes the narrative pictures being painted are not accurate. He went on a Twitter rant to say as much:

"Just tired of the media trynna portray sum it's not. Got eh whole world fooled."
Just tired of the media trynna portray sum it’s not. Got the whole world fooled.

Jeudy continued:

"I ain’t gonna keep looking at these false statements about my boii Russ man, as a teammate who sees the elite work ethic this man has is incomparable. He got an office because he’s committed his life to this game. I never had a teammate who motivated me more than Russ."

He also added a general statement that was almost assuredly about his quarterback and teammate:

"If you don’t know someone personally don’t speak on [them]."

K.J. Hamler echoed that sentiment online as well:

"3 goes above and beyond to do whatever it takes to win for the team. Y’all not about to bash him and act like he still ain’t that same Russ who won a Super Bowl and was a 9 time pro bowler. I stand behind my QB."

It has been a frustrating year for the Broncos. Nathaniel Hackett was largely ineffective as the head coach. Narratives have come out about Wilson in the wake of his firing, suggesting he is a poor leader and not well-liked.

If Jeudy and Hamler are to be believed and representative of the Broncos roster, then those narratives could not be more wrong.

What's next for Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos?

Russell Wilson and Jerry Jeudy have not been a part of the offense they imagined this offseason. Much of that can be contributed to first-year head coach Hackett, as Wilson played excellently under Pete Carroll with the Seattle Seahawks.

Now that he's gone, the franchise can look at signing someone who can help fix Wilson and the offense. It could be Sean Payton, it could be Eric Bienemy or it could be someone else.

All is not lost, however, and it seems at least a few members of the Broncos are in support of Wilson and want to continue playing with him moving forward. That's fortunate, as Russell Wilson is tied to Denver for a very long time.
