Jerry Jones thinks Odell Beckham Jr would be good fit
Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is expected to sign with a team soon. The Dallas Cowboys is one of the many teams interested in him and owner Jerry Jones made comments about how Beckham Jr. would look good in a Dallas uniform.
Jones said in an interview with 105.3 The Fan:
“Odell is someone that we have all the appreciation in the world for what he is as a competitor. I know the Cowboys star on that helmet when he puts it on could look pretty good.”
Even head coach Mike McCarthy recently commented about the star wide receiver and said he's always been impressed by his abilities. He said:
“I’ve always been a huge fan of his. (From the people who have worked with him), everybody has nothing but great things to say about him. Obviously, I’ve always been so impressed with his football playing ability.”
Dallas is currently the favorite to land Odell Beckham Jr.
Currently, the Cowboys' leading wide receiver is CeeDee Lamb, who has 42 receptions, 556 yards, and three touchdowns. They could use some help at the receiver position by adding him.
Odell Beckham Jr. should be signing with a team any day
Odell Beckham Jr. tore his ACL in February during the Los Angeles Rams' Super Bowl victory. He is yet to sign with a team in free agency due to not being able to take the field, but multiple reports indicate that the player is going to be fully cleared this week.
With this news, many teams are expected to pursue him. The Dallas Cowboys, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Baltimore Ravens, and the Buffalo Bills are amongst the teams that are expected to have a shot at landing him.
Beckham Jr. is a three-time Pro Bowler, two-time Second-Team All-Pro, and a Super Bowl champion who has recorded five 1,000-plus yards seasons in his career. Whoever OBJ signs with will improve instantly and it's about time we find out where he will play this season.
