Jim Harbaugh's son has 5-word reaction to Chargers thumping Patriots 40-7 and making playoffs

Jim Harbaugh has done it again in the NFL: he has helped a team go from a losing record to the playoffs for the second time in his career. First it was the San Francisco 49ers; now it is the Los Angeles Chargers, who routed the New England Patriots 40-7 to clinch a Wild Card spot.

Many are very happy with the achievement, but none more so than his son James, currently a flight attendant at Delta Airlines. He took to Instagram stories to share a screenshot of the team huddling with the following message:

When Jim Harbaugh was hired by the Bolts in January, a good number of pundits expected a major recovery. After all, Harbaugh is known for his program revitalizations - before his stint with the 49ers, he had also helped turn around the fortunes of Stanford, then done the same to Michigan after he left the Bay Area.

He was still humble after what he had done in his first season in Inglewood. Speaking to the press after the game, Harbaugh said:

"With humble hearts, we move on to the next game. Just so proud of the team. All those that made it happen. The players, the coaches. I mean, there was so much great play. I mean, our offense, our offense, great. Defense, great. I'm proud of our captains."

He then went on to single out the players whom he thought offered the biggest contribution to the victory:

"Justin Herbert played a near-flawless game (281 yards, three TDs). Derwin James reached 5.5 sacks, career-high, but he does it every single game. Rashawn Slater and Brad Bozeman, I thought that was the best offensive line play we've had. The run block and the pass protection was so good across the board. Khalil Mack, he had a great game.”

The Chargers will end their campaign against the Las Vegas Raiders. Broadcast times will be announced at the conclusion of the current game week.
