JJ Watt warns Lions' bravado might "bite them in the a**" during playoffs

JJ Watt was impressed by the Detroit Lions' bravado when they went for a fourth down during their Week 13 game against the Green Bay Packers instead of kicking the field goal, which would've given the Packers time to drive for a potential tie or win. In the end, the Lions won 34-31 and clinched a playoff berth in the process.

During Wednesday's appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show", the former NFL defensive end warned said Detroit's gamble might have paid off this time, but the Lions shouldn't take their chances during the playoffs.

"You love it until it bites you in the a**. Nothing fires you up more than your coach believing in the team and when the team executes and accomplishes it. The more that it works, the more confident you get it, the more you love it. But then it's just a matter of if it beats you at one point in the biggest moment."

He hinted such acts of bravado might be the reason for Detroit's downfall as well some day, so the Lions should be cautious.

"It was awesome that it worked out. You live by the sword and you die by the sword. When that sword flips the other way it's a tough conversation to have especially if it's in the playoffs."

JJ Watt hits back at internet trolls for commenting about his parenting style

JJ Watt had posted a video on X which showed his son, Koa, performing the "Terrible Towel Twirl" with a cartoon playing on an iPad next to him. Watt said while 99% of the comments were supportive and positive, a few "idiots" commented Watt was raising Koa to be an "iPad baby" and found major flaws with his parenting style.

Watt made sarcastic remarks about such internet trolls.

"Okay, if you're King Kong, king of the world, best parents on the planet, good for you. You don't need any entertainment whatsoever for your child. Good for you. Congratulations. You're better than all of us," he said

He then went on to explain it was difficult to keep kids entertained for six hours as he had commitments before the game as well and hence had used the iPad to keep Koa entertained so he wouldn't throw tantrums.
