JJ Watt weighs in on 'Aliens' conspiracy one week after Aaron Rodgers spotted "interesting" drones
Former NFL star JJ Watt shared his thoughts on the 'Aliens' conspiracy going around the league after New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers brought this topic to people's attention last week. The former Defensive Player of the Year joined the Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday to talk about a variety of topics.
Right before the end of the show, Watt was asked about the situation in New Jersey. He first tried to dodge the question, but then had a more serious response, even sharing when aliens might have been on Earth.
"AJ Hawks is right there," JJ Watt jokingly responded. "I feel like they gotta, they have to admit it at some point. Whether way before us or something, but somebody's been here at some point."
The former Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals defensive star didn't get into more details, but it looked like he took the topic seriously and perhaps had more things to say about it.
There have been reports in recent days about drone sightings in New Jersey and surrounding areas. That has led to some speculation about those drones potentially being aliens.
Earlier this week, President Joe Biden downplayed the situation.
“There are a lot of drones authorized. We are following this closely. So far no sense of danger,” Biden said on Tuesday per the AP.
The conversation about aliens in New Jersey isn't stopping anytime soon, it seems, even less after Aaron Rodgers said his teammates spotted drones in the sky.
What did Aaron Rodgers say about aliens before JJ Watt's comments?
Before JJ Watt shared his thoughts on the 'aliens' situation, Aaron Rodgers caused a stir with his comments. Last week, the veteran quarterback appeared on the show and mentioned the discussion in Congress and tried to give it more exposure.
“Do you know what’s been going on in New Jersey lately? And I’m not talking about the football. There’s been some crazy things going on. There’s been some drones in the sky in Jersey. What the hell is that? 'Maybe it's some kids messing around. maybe not, though.
"“Is that a helicopter,” Rodgers said. “Is that what that is? ... There’s other videos that I’ve seen and I’ve talked to some friends of mine, a police officer -- shout out, Mario -- there’s some interesting things going on. Interesting things going on with the drones."
He doubled down on those comments this week, saying that some of his teammates watched aliens in the sky and he was trying to catch one.
