Joe Biden shares a touching message in memory of Steelers legend Franco Harris
The NFL world is mourning the passing of Franco Harris. The former Pittsburgh Steeler legend passed away on Wednesday at the age of 72. Harris won four Super Bowls while with the Steelers, but he is best known for being involved in "The Immaculate Reception."
Tributes have been pouring in for the former running back since his passing, but the latest one might just be the biggest of all. President Joe Biden has given a touching tribute to the former Steelers legend as many mourn his death. It came just days before Pittsburgh was set to retire his jersey as well.
Biden said:
"I know there will also be countless families like mine that will remember him for all that he did to lift our spirits when we needed it – in the quietest, personal, and American of ways."

Franco Harris' career stats
Harris played 13 years in the NFL (12 with Pittsburgh, one with Seattle) and had a sensational career. The start to his NFL career was nothing short of sensational as he surpassed 1,000 rushing yards in seven of his first eight seasons.
In his rookie year, Franco Harris was a force of nature, registering 1,055 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns as he won Offensive Player of the Year and was named as an All-Pro.
Franco Harris was a Pro Bowler in his first nine seasons, which is an impressive feat. It shows just how consistent he was as he was a driving force in the Steelers' game plan.
Given they were a run-first offense, Harris was at the center of most things Pittsburgh did well.
In total, Franco Harris finished his illustrious career with 12,120 rushing yards and 91 touchdowns in 173 games. He was a nine-time Pro Bowler, a four-time Super Bowl champion, a Super Bowl MVP, a member of the Hall of Fame and the All-1970s team.
