Joe Burrow responded directly to Tom Brady’s alleged trash talk directed at the Bengals' squad

Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals pulled off a great comeback win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 15. They were down by 3-17 heading into the second half, but the entire team stepped up in the second half.

During the buildup to the game, Tom Brady hailed the Bengals' defense as "fairly tough," and many Bengals players weren't happy about it. As a result, they gave him a run for his money in the second half. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow also spoke about Brady's comments about his defense after the game.

Here's what Joe Burrow said in reply to whether Tom Brady was trying to trash-talk his team's defense ahead of the game:

“No. What are you talking about? I don’t know what you’re talking about, Oh, I’m sure he didn’t mean any disrespect by that, Our defense is very tough and I’m sure that’s all he was trying to get across.”

The Cincinnati Bengals limited Tom Brady and the Bucs to just six points in the second half and won the game 34-23. This was their sixth straight win of the season, and Burrow is playing like an MVP.

Many claim that Joe Burrow is the new generation's Brady, and the former LSU quarterback pulled off a Brady-esque effort against the GOAT himself. This was the first meeting between Brady and Burrow, and it was quite a spectacle.

The Bengals are favorites heading into their next game against the New England Patriots.

Following their win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Bengals are now 10-4 and are one game ahead of the Baltimore Ravens. It looks like Burrow and the Bengals will repeat themselves as AFC North Champions, which will be a great achievement for them.

The season didn't start well for the Bengals as Burrow was still recovering from the appendix procedure that he had in the offseason, but they have picked up their form at the best possible time.

They will be the team to beat in the playoffs, and with the experience that they gained from last season, we may very well see them go to the Super Bowl once again. But before that, next up they will be up against the New England Patriots, and it will be interesting to see how Burrow plays against Bill Belichick's team.
