Joe Burrow reveals $3,000,000 limited edition purchase from The Dark Knight 'Batman' Trilogy

In September 2023, Joe Burrow signed a five-year, $275 million contract extension with the Cincinnati Bengals. It's the second-biggest deal in NFL history, behind Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes' 10-year, $450 million contract. Being among the highest-paid players in the league is a license to indulge and spend frivolously, and the Bengals quarterback did exactly that.

On the "Hard Knocks In Season with The AFC North," he told teammate Ja'Marr Chase that he bought one of the 10 replicas of the Batmobile from the Dark Knight trilogy. The purchase set him back by $3 million, as per ESPN.

"Have I told you I bought a Batmobile?" Burrow told Chase and Tee Higgins during a practice last week. "I don't get it for like a year, but I bought one."

Burrow will have to wait for a year to have it delivered to his doorstep, but he's already counting the days until he gets it and making plans for what he will do with it. He told Chase that he plans on committing to the gimmick by buying an "expensive Batsuit and some armor" and becoming the caped crusader.

Joe Burrow quipped that he even pondered showing up to the stadium on game day in the Batmobile and Batsuit and expressed excitement about Halloween.

Joe Burrow's Batmobile: An ode to the Dark Knight Trilogy

The $3 million Batmobiles are being built by Relevance International, who run "Bruce Wayne X," a website that sells products inspired by the iconic DC character.

The Batmobile Tumbler is a fully functional replica of the car that Batman uses in director Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" trilogy. The production of the car has been officially sanctioned by Warner Bros. Studios, who also produced the movies.

While it's functional, it unfortunately isn't road-legal. So Joe Burrow's dream of arriving at games in it while wearing a Batsuit likely won't come to fruition.
