NFL WATCH: Joe Burrow rocks LSU championship jersey ahead of crucial Saints game
Ahead of their week 6 matchup against the New Orleans Saints, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was seen rocking teammate Ja'Marr Chase's jersey from the LSU National Championship game.
The game was played in the Superdome, where they will face the Saints today, and they won the National Championship vs. the Clemson Tigers, 42-25.
58 rushing
Both Burrow and Chase had one of their best collegiate performances respectively. Burrow led the Tigers to victory, throwing for 463 yards, 5 touchdowns, 58 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.
Chase was his primary target during their victory. He put on a show recording 9 receptions, 221 receiving yards, and a pair of receiving touchdowns.
Burrow would join the Bengals as they drafted him with the first-overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft. Chase stayed in college during the 2021 season, but didn't play and sat out for the year.
Chase entered the 2021 draft and was regarded as a top-10 pick. The Bengals selected him with the fifth-overall pick in the draft, as they reunited the former LSU Tiger teammates.
The Cincinnati Bengals will look to improve to 3-3 with a victory over the New Orleans Saints
Today, the former LSU teammates will face the New Orleans Saints. Both teams enter today's game 2-3 and are looking to get back at .500 with a victory.
While they're on the road, the Bengals are three-point favorites against the home-team Saints, as they are without starting quarterback Jameis Winston for another week.
The Saints are tied for second-place in the NFC South with the Atlanta Falcons at 2-3 while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are in first-place with a 3-2 record. The Bengals are tied for second-place in the AFC North with the 2-3 Browns as the Ravens boast first place with a 3-2 record.
A win for either team today could propel them to be tied for first place in their respective divisions.
