Jordan Love injury update: Latest on Packers QB's status for Week 3 fantasy football

Jordan Love could give the Green Bay Packers good news at the end of the week if he keeps progressing ahead of the Tennessee Titans duel. They bounced back with a close 16-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts to get the first win of the season following a painful loss against the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil.

Losing Love in one of the game's final plays was worse than losing the game, but the young quarterback could be back soon. It's time to see what could happen to Love and if fantasy managers have reason to be excited.

Jordan Love injury update

One of the biggest news for the Packers is that Jordan Love returned to practice, wearing a sleeve on his left leg after going through stretch and all the previous drills.

This is promising news, but it's not guaranteed that he will suit up for the Packers this weekend. He was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, which is a lot of progress after not taking on the field a single day last week.

After practice, Love had the chance to talk with reporters and explain at what stage of his rehab he's in and what it would take to play this Sunday.

"It's a lot of boxes [to check]," Love said. "Obviously, I think, get back to practice and reunite and just feel what it feels like to take those drops, be in the live fire, but like I say, we take it day-by-day the trainers are doing a good job of monitoring me and seeing how I'm doing and how I'm reacting to every play. They'll be the ones to clear me when the time comes."

The initial reports regarding Love's injury suggested he would be out for at least three weeks. His absence could extend to three more, potentially missing the games against the Colts, Titans, Vikings, Rams, Cardinals and Texans.

As good as this looks, playing Jordan Love on your fantasy team this weekend will be risky. Malik Willis has a history with the Titans, the team that traded him to Green Bay last month, which could give him extra motivation to beat his former team.

After signing a four-year, $220 million extension with the Packers, Love's season didn't have the best start. It's promising that he's in good spirits, but fans must wait to confirm if he's fit to play again.
