Jordan Love makes feelings known about Josh Jacobs filling in after Aaron Jones' departure
The Green Bay Packers replaced running back Aaron Jones with Josh Jacobs this offseason.
The Packers released Jones in March after seven seasons. Three days later, they signed free agent Jacobs, who had spent the previous five seasons with the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders, to a four-year, $48 million deal.
On Wednesday's episode of the Rich Eisen Show, Packers quarterback Jordan Love spoke about Jacobs' impact this season on Green Bay's offense.
"He's definitely one of those top dollars and one of the best running backs in the league. Just the way he runs the ball, he's a guy who wants the ball in his hands every play and just has that mindset that he's not going to let anybody bring him down. He's trying to run guys over and make guys miss. And I really think he can do it all," Love said.
Jacobs, the league's leading rusher two seasons ago, has played like a top-dollar back this season. Jacobs has rushed for 1,147 yards and 12 touchdowns in 14 games. He's on pace to rush for the second-most yards of his career and break his single-season record of 12 touchdowns.
Aaron Jones, like Josh Jacobs, has been having a good year with Minnesota Vikings
While Josh Jacobs is having another great season with the Green Bay Packers, it may be more surprising to see how well Aaron Jones has been playing.
At 30 years old (four years older than Jacobs) and in his eighth NFL season, Jones has been an impactful running back for the Minnesota Vikings offense.
In 14 games, Jones has 979 yards and five rushing touchdowns. He also has 39 receptions for 322 yards and two receiving touchdowns.
Jones only signed a one-year, $7 million deal with the Vikings and is set to become a free agent this upcoming offseason.
