Jordan Love's agent applauds Packers QB for being 'stubborn' and 'a bad man' after landing historic $220,000,000 contract

After becoming Green Bay's starter for just a year, Jordan Love inked a four-year, $220 million contract extension that has him tied as the highest-paid player in the NFL. In an era where the next quarterback who receives an extension becomes the highest-paid player at their position, Love now has that title with Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence.

Upon becoming tied for the highest-paid player in the NFL, Love's agent, David Mulugheta, took to social media to congratulate his client.

"Congrats to the kid @jordan3love for setting the standard. He patiently waited his turn behind a legend, and is now the highest-paid player in NFL history. In an era where every sna counts, Brian Gutekunst, Russ Ball, Mark Murphy and the entire Packers organziation have stepped up and taken care of one of their cornerstone players," Mulugheta wrote.
"I mean every word when I say, this couldn't have happened to a better person. You stayed stubborn on the vision, and flexible on the details. As a first round pick, you spent 3 years studyig, learning, and growing (with no complaints), while others were given the opportunity to play.
"While others played, you stayed ready so you wouldn't have have to get ready... last season, you showed the world you were not just ready -- but that you are a bad man!" he added.

It was a surprise to see Jordan Love become the highest-paid player in the NFL. Love has been in the NFL for four years and has only started in 18 career games.

The Green Bay Packers traded up for Love in the 2020 NFL Draft and took him in the first round. He sat behind Aaron Rodgers his entire rookie season and didn't step on the field.

In his second season, he started one game for Green Bay as Rodgers was out with COVID against the Kansas City Chiefs. He appeared in five more games that season. In Rodgers' last season with Green Bay in 2022, Love appeared in four games, mainly to relieve Rodgers.

Love took over as Green Bay's starter last season when Rodgers was dealt to the New York Jets. He guided Green Bay to a 9-8 record, advancing to the playoffs and winning in round one. He threw for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, completing 64.2% of his throws.
