Jordan Love's fiancée Ronika Stone recruits David Bakhtiari back to Packers after viral workout video - "I’ve seen enough"
Jordan Love's fiancée Ronika Stone is doubling up as a Packers' recruiting agent and she has former Green Bay legend David Bakhtiari in her sights. The offensive tackle played for 11 seasons with the Packers after being drafted in the fourth round by Green Bay in 2013. In that time, he received multiple Pro Bowl and All-Pro nominations, cementing him as a modern-day great.
However, he has been without a team this season. David Bakhtiari has been using that time to remain fit and recently put out a video of his training session that has quickly gone viral. In it, he can be seen lifting weights and undergoing a strenuous gym session as he looks to be at the peak of his overall fitness.
Ronika Stone was one of those who saw his workout and was immediately convinced that the offensive tackle still has it in him to play at a high level. Given the Packers are trying to reach the playoffs for the second consecutive season with Jordan Love as their starter, she said that she has seen enough and would love for him to return to Green Bay. She commented on the Instagram post,
"I’ve seen enough, welcome back to the Packers"
Ronika Stone might want Jordan Love reunion with Packers but David Bakhtiari eyes another team
Ronika Stone might be recruiting David Bakhtiari to come back and play for the only team he has ever featured for in the NFL, but there is another quarterback the offensive tackle wants to play with. For all his personal accolades, he has never won the Super Bowl.
While Jordan Love has been phenomenal in the last two years, Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the league right now. The Chiefs are two-time defending Super Bowl champions, have won the championship thrice in his tenure, and are currently undefeated. David Bakhtiari openly expressed admiration for what Kansas City has got going and threw in a jocular remark about playing left tackle there. He wrote on X,
"Hey @PatrickMahomes, if your @TexasTechFB beat my @CUBuffsFootball, I’ll come play left tackle for you."
For now, though, neither the Chiefs nor the Packers have expressed any interest in bringing him on their rosters. However, once the teams enter the playoffs or get near the end of the regular season, there could arise an opportunity for the tackle to get back on the field, even though the odds are slim. He clearly won't be lacking for fitness based on his workout video on Instagram.
