Jordan Poyer Bills contract: How much will All-Pro safety earn in 2023?

All-Pro safety Jordan Poyer is back in Buffalo for next season, as he and the franchise were able to agree on a contract extension. There was a significant chance that Poyer would not return over the offseason, but the Bills made sure to bring back their standout player.

Poyer is a crucial defensive player for the Bills, and it would have been difficult to replace him. As a result, they chose to retain their veteran player and continue their pursuit of the Super Bowl.

As per Ari Meirov, Poyer has signed a two-year deal with the Buffalo Bills which will be worth $10 million. Out of which, $4.5 million will be guaranteed, and an additional $2 million could be earned through incentives.

This is a pretty good deal for both parties as they aim to bring Buffalo's first Super Bowl in franchise history. Poyer has spent the past six seasons of his career with the Bills after previously representing the Philadelphia Eagles and the Cleveland Browns.

Last season alone, he had 44 solo tackles, 19 assists, and 4 interceptions in 12 games. Injuries did hinder Poyer from performing at his best, but next season he will be ready to be at his best, and give the Bills Mafia a lot to cheer about.

The Buffalo Bills were the favorites to win it all last season, but their season ended in a very disappointing manner in the AFC Divisional Round against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Injuries to Josh Allen and Von Miller derailed their season, but they will hope to get back to being their usual self next season. With Poyer back, the Bills still have many great players on both sides of the ball, and hopefully, they will make a deep run into the playoffs.
