Josh Allen fights Bengals players while Damar Hamlin cheers on as Bills get on the scoreboard (WATCH)
Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills found themselves 14 points behind early to Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals. With the situation almost hitting a critical stage, the Bills needed to put together a drive.
They did and their quarterback in Allen took it upon himself to use his legs on the drive. Allen had four rushes for nine yards and the all-important touchdown. Such was the need for the touchdown, Allen was fired up.
Who are favorites for the Super Bowl?
So much so, that he decided to let the Bengals defense know all about it as he out-physicalled them on his way to paydirt. Watch below.
The Bills needed a momentum starter and in Allen and his tough run, Buffalo got it and finally got themselves into the game. The fast start by the Bengals certianly took Buffalo off guard as they had no answer to Burrow and the Bengals offense.
With a trip to the AFC Championship against the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes on the line, tension is high inside the stadium. Allen is clearly pumped up after his run as every drive in the playoffs is important.
Not to mention the fact that these two teams now have a little bit of a rivalry going, which makes the game a little bit more spicy for the neutrals.
Bills and Bengals renew their rivalry
With both teams becoming somewhat powerhouses in the AFC along with the Chiefs, their fates are going to be tied together for a while. That is largely due in part to the horror incident that happened last time the two teams squared off.
Damar Hamlin needed CPR on the field after suffering a cardiac arrest and thankfully is on the comeback trail. He is even in the stadium for the game today.
Clearly his presence has had a positive effect on Allen and the Bills with tensios running high not only due to what is on the line for both teams, but also because of Hamlin.
We just hope Allen doesn't try to fight the entire Bengals roster the next time he scores a touchdown.
