Josh Allen posts romantic note to Hailee Steinfeld on her 28th birthday
Josh Allen hit a milestone when he got engaged to Hailee Steinfeld in November. She has since hit another milestone, and her fiance reacted with an endearing post.
On Wednesday, the actress celebrated her 28th birthday. In response, the Buffalo Bills quarterback shared an image of themselves enjoying wine while sitting on the beach at night in his Instagram story.
"28 (various emojis)."
"I love you (heart emoji)."
"Here's to forevermore (wine glasses emoji)."
Another person who commemorated Steinfeld's birthday was Bills teammate Micah Hyde's wife Amanda, who shared an image of a birthday cake that she had commissioned from The Grange Outpost (a bakery in Orchard Park):
Josh Allen was crying while proposing to Hailee Steinfeld, said he "can't wait to start a family"
Josh Allen shared stories after proposing to Hailee Steinfeld, like how she almost anticipated his move, as reported in the December 6 edition of Beau Society:
"The funniest thing was that we woke up and were getting ready for brunch and you jumped on the bed and said 'Can we get married already? What are you waiting for?'”
However, it is also important to know what he was feeling in the moment. Writing in that same newsletter, he said he was very nervous and lachrymose as he stood before her:
"It was hard to keep secrets from you and have other people in your life keep secrets from you. Then, multiple times throughout the day a song would come on and I would tear up thinking about how special our day was going to be."
This was what he then said:
“‘I couldn’t wait any longer. I can’t wait to start a family with you.’...I said please.”
Of course, she accepted, leaving him "relieved":
“You were extremely surprised, you said yes, and that was all that mattered to me. And the sun was out. It feels unbelievable to be engaged to someone who is so special and loving and caring and gorgeous and fun and happy.”
Neither party has set a wedding date given the recency of their engagement, but it should be during an offseason based on Hannah Ann Sluss' comments about her marriage to Jake Funk.
