Julian Edelman jokingly claims defeat after losing 'the sexiest podcast hosts' title to Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce
Former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman reacted after he and Rob Gronkowski lost the 'sexiest podcast host' title to Travis and Jason Kelce from 'New Heights.' The three-time Super Bowl champion is the host of 'Games with Names,' where he welcomes a different guest every week to discuss sports-related topics.
Edelman joined Barstool Sports' 'Pardon My Take' show on Friday to discuss a series of topics, including his defeat to the Kelce brothers for this honor. PFT Commenter, also known as Eric Sollenberger, broke the news for the Super Bowl MVP.
(1:36:00) PFT Commenter: I hope I'm not breaking this to you, but you and Gronk did not win sexiest podcasters this year. It was the Kelce's.
Julian: Without a doubt. They're, pretty... they're hot right now. They're on this fire right now.
Despite suffering defeat to the Kelce's, Edelman and Gronkowski are teaming up for a new podcast called 'Dudes on Dudes.' The show's format presents a discussion about three sports figures, their most memorable moments and unknown stories.
Julian Edelman shares his thoughts on Jerod Mayo's 'soft' comments
It's been a couple of weeks since Patriots coach Jerod Mayo blasted his defense and called it 'soft' after losing to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Several people reacted to those comments, including former coach Bill Belichick, who took issue with the remarks.
Julian Edelman also offered his opinion during the aforementioned interview and said Mayo wasn't trying to hurt anybody but push his team to react after a bad loss.
"The team clearly responded. They went out and got a win against the Jets, we all know that rivalry. For me, with Jerod, I think he was including himself in that. I think he's on that level with the team where he could say that and he knows what buttons to push to get them to clearly respond like they did this week against the Jets," Julian Edelman said. The Patriots face a seemingly weaker team on Sunday, the Tennessee Titans, hoping to get their second consecutive win and make a statement.
