Julian Edelman reveals Tom Brady communicates like 'grandparents' in texts

Even after he retired from the NFL, former New England Patriots star Julian Edelman remained good friends with Hall of Famer Tom Brady. With their strong friendship, Edelman has some jokes about Brady, especially the way he communicates.

On Thursday, US Weekly released an exclusive interview with Edelman. During the interview, the retired wide receiver spoke about how Tom Brady is bad with communication, especially texts. Edelman said:

"I think he’s a little too old for texting. You know when you teach your grandparents how to text and stuff? Maybe that’s what it is. He reads it and he doesn’t know how to text back. I mean, the guy is 50. We’re pushing 50.”

Julian Edelman further explained how despite Brady leaving his texts on read, he believes that the former Patriots quarterback reads them:

“I know that he sees them."

Julian Edelman expresses gratitude toward Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski

Moving forward in the interview, Julian Edelman expressed that he was grateful to be working with former New England Patriots teammates Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, even after their retirement. Sharing details about the same, the former Patriots wide receiver said:

“It is very special. Now that they’re both retired, it feels very similar to when we were back playing, you know? I see Tom and how he’s preparing for his work now. It makes me want to be better at my work. I see how Rob prepares when we’re doing our podcast. It makes me want to do my job better.
“I think it’s a valuable lesson for people to surround yourself with great people that do fundamentally great and solid things. It makes you want to be like that."

Over the past months, Julian Edelman filmed multiple commercials with Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, according to US Weekly. Edelman told the publication how he had a nostalgia for his old Patriots days while filming for ads with his retired work buddies.

Brady kickstarted his new career as an NFL commentator with Fox earlier this season. Apart from enjoying his new career, the Hall of Famer often participates in business dealings. The retired quarterback recently decided to auction off watches worth $11 Million.
