Julian Edelman takes a dig at Rob Gronkowski over his on-screen actor in Aaron Hernandez show

Julian Edelman took a dig at Rob Gronkowski after his on-screen actor went viral for impersonating the future Hall-of-Fame tight end. Edelman, who played with Gronkowski from 2010 through 2018, had a perfect reaction to the actor who portrayed Gronk in the FX series about Aaron Hernandez.

More specifically, he talked about Gronkowski's laugh:

"The laugh isn't bad I gotta admit," Edelman tweeted on Friday.

Kay Adams had a similar reaction, saying she was "dead" after watching the actor nail Rob Gronkowski's laugh. FX's "American Sports Story" is a sports drama that serves as the fourth installment in the "American Story" franchise.

The first season is focused on former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.

Hernandez played from 2010 through 2012 with the Pats, playing in Super Bowl XLVI, where the New York Giants beat the Patriots in a dramatic game.

The series is set to have 10 episodes in its first season. The man portraying Gronkowski is actually close to the player, as he revealed to Kay Adams.

Rob Gronkowski shares details of the actor impersonating him in the Aaron Hernandez's show

Like Julian Edelman and Kay Adams, the retired tight end was impressed by what he saw from the actor portraying him, adding that he knew the man and they have a long-standing relationship:

"That is my good friend Laith [Wallschleger] playing me. I've known him for 14 years and he definitely went over the top. But I feel like it fit the show perfectly though. Especially with all the other characters." [From 0:29 to 0:45]

Gronk added that this person is his designated stunt double, but after the clip went viral, Wallschleger became famous and canceled one of his commitments with Gronkowski:

"Laith is becoming too big time. Because I actually shot a commercial yesterday too and he was supposed to be my stand in as well. My double. And guess what? He cancelled last second because the clip was going so viral, it became so big time. So ohhh Laith ohhh you are so big time, man." [From 2:23 to 2:38]

Rob Gronkowski's laugh has become an important part of his brand. Besides being one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history, he was one of the funniest players out there, gaining a lot of fans due to his antics.
