After $140,000,000 contract, Justin Jefferson signs endorsement deal to tack on career earnings

Justin Jefferson became wealthier after signing a four-year, $140 million contract extension with the Minnesota Vikings. His new endorsement deal will bolster his earnings further.

According to Front Office Sports, the Vikings star receiver was handed a new endorsement deal by Gatorade. The premium sports drink company also handed out deals to Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua.

Jefferson's new endorsement comes on the heels of a massive increase in his salary. Of course, with his new contract still in its infancy, most will expect his net worth to rise over the next several years.

His current deal runs through 2028. However, the Vikings have an earlier out in 2028 that could save them some money on the deal. Assuming he plays out his current deal, Jefferson will conclude his current deal before his age-30 season.

After getting held back by injuries in 2023, Jefferson is looking to dominate defenses this year. However, he also will be looking to win over doubters. Some question his ability to stay healthy. Others doubt the ability of his quarterback to get him the ball as well as Kirk Cousins did. More wonder whether he will take it easier now that he earned his new salary.

Either way, Justin Jefferson has plenty of ammunition for motivation, should he care about the public perception of him. However, the first task at hand is to get on the same page as Sam Darnold.

With Darnold slated to start all season long, any chemistry established early on will continue throughout the season. Kevin O'Connell and Vikings fans hope that the offense can work with enough mystery to let Darnold get the ball to Jefferson in new and creative ways.

As of now, however, most agree that Jefferson is working as the face of the franchise this season in addition to working as one of the faces of Gatorade.
