Kenny Pickett's wife Amy shows support for Eagles QB as he executes first 'tush push'

Kenny Pickett had his first snaps as a Philadelphia Eagle at the Baltimore Ravens on Friday.

He went 14/22 for 89 yards and threw a touchdown to Will Shipley. But perhaps the biggest highlight was his execution of the "tush push," popularized by starter Jalen Hurts. One of the people most impressed with the play was his wife Amy (nee Paternoster), who reacted as follows:

The Eagles would eventually win the preseason game 16-13 via Jake Elliott's 49-yard field goal. Lew Nichols scored their other touchdown, rushing for two yards in the third quarter.

Amy Pickett 'looking forward' to new chapter with Kenny Pickett

When the Kenny Pickett trade initially happened, his wife Amy wrote, re-sharing of the Eagles' Instagram announcement in a Story:

"Could not be more excited and grateful!! Skooooo Birds!!"

Then, a few minutes later, she re-shared the NFL's post with this caption:

"Looking forward to our next chapter. All Love."

In exchange for losing Pickett and a 2024 fourth-round pick (that was eventually traded to the Miami Dolphins), the Eagles received a third-round supplementary pick (eventually picked linebacker Payton Wilson) and a 2025 seventh-round pick.

Russell Wilson seemingly mocks Kenny Pickett's hand size

Back where Kenny Pickett used to play, one of his presumed successors has seemingly decided to mock the most important parts of his body - his hands.

During Thursday's practice session, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson said:

"I think when God gives you a gift to throw a ball, and he gave me big hands to throw it."

A good number of fans took this as a thinly-veiled insult towards Pickett. During the 2022 NFL Combine, his hands were found to be only 8.5 inches long - which would be the smallest of any active quarterback were he in the league.

However, at the pro day of his alma mater Pittsburgh, they had grown to 8.625 inches. Speaking on The Pivot Podcast, he revealed the trick:

"I stretched them out a little bit. I was doing some exercises. Trying everything I could, sleeping in a splint to stretch my hand out."

He would go 20th overall in the Draft, spending two seasons and qualifying for the playoffs once.
