Kevin Durant sounds alarm for his beloved Commanders ahead of Week 11 clash vs division rivals: "I'm scared of the Eagles"
NBA champion Kevin Durant may be dialed in on the Phoenix Suns' 2023-24 season, but he's also a fan of the NFL, specifically, of the Washington Commanders. On Wednesday morning, Durant was a guest on the "Up and Adams Show" and spoke to host Kay Adams about the Commanders' impressive 6-2 start to the season.
Durant also noted that there is one NFL team that frightens him moving forward: the Philadelphia Eagles. He said that running back Saquon Barkley running through defenses is impressive and that a few weeks ago he felt a little bit better about facing the Eagles than he does right now. After a 2-2 start, the Eagles have won the last three games and are just one game behind the Commanders in the NFC East.
"The Eagles, I'm scared of the Eagles right now. Because they get their strive in Saquon, man. I just can't believe he went to the Eagles... damn. He just so good. A couple weeks ago, they looked like a team that we can beat, but they were just injured, they got everybody back, and they playing, they clicking, they got continuity too, so they kind of familiar with each other. They gonna be a tough team, man."-Kevin Durant told Kay Adams
The Washington Commanders will face the Philadelphia Eagles in primetime on Thursday Night Football on November 14, 2024.
Kevin Durant had a hilarious response to Commanders' Hail Mary victory
The Washington Commanders pulled off the unthinkable on Sunday evening. With no time remaining on the clock, Jayden Daniels stood strong in the pocket for 13 seconds before he threw a 52-yard Hail Mary to the end zone. As this is something teams try when they are down at the end of the game, the outcome of this attempt was different than most.
The ball tipped off a group of players from both the Commanders and Bears and landed right in the hands of wide receiver Noah Brown in the end zone. Kevin Durant shared his reaction on X which apparently included laughter at the events that had just transpired.
"HAHAHHAA LETS GO @Commanders."-Durant wrote on X after the win
Commanders' rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels' 326 passing yards was the first time he surpassed 300 yards in his young career. The Commanders' 18-15 win over the Bears solidified the team as a true contender for the NFC East this season.
