Commanders fan Kevin Durant takes aim at Dallas Cowboys: "I just don't like them"
The Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable sports franchise in the world, and despite not winning a Super Bowl since 1996, they arguably have the biggest fanbase among the NFL teams. However, that doesn't mean that everyone is fond of them.
Last year we saw LeBron James pick against them in a game and he has often said that he doesn't support the NFC East team anymore. In a recent conversation with Kay Adams, Kevin Durant also revealed that he doesn't like the Cowboys.
When asked by Adams which team he would like to get rid of from the NFL, Durant responded:
"The Cowboys, easily. I just don't like them, and I had to ask myself, why don't I like the Cowboys, because I don't hate any teams or any players or, like, I'm a huge fan of a lot of teams, but the Cowboys that one team I just don't like, and I think it's because a lot of people where I'm from in DC have become Cowboys fans.
"It's probably like 75% people in Washington, DC, in my group of people that are Cowboys fans, and I just hate that they don't stay loyal to the crib."
Kevin Durant is a Washington Commanders fan, and since they are the division rivals of the Cowboys, there is animosity between the fans of both teams.
The Commanders drafted Jayden Daniels with the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and their fans are confident heading into the season. Moreover, Dan Quinn, who was previously the Cowboys' defensive coordinator, is now the head coach in Washington, and the games between the two teams could be very fascinating this year.
Dak Prescott and Cowboys face tough test in Week 1
The Dallas Cowboys had a poor offseason as they failed to address the areas of need on their roster. Although CeeDee Lamb has signed his contract extension, he missed the entire training camp and might not be 100% for Week 1.
After this season, Dak Prescott will become a free agent, and the quarterback's situation is also a major concern for the team.
The Cowboys start their season with a trip to Cleveland, and it will be a very tough game for them. The defending NFC East champions will face five playoff teams in their first seven fixtures of the season.
Prescott and the team need to perform at their best right from the start of the season to avoid missing the playoffs this year, as the NFC has significantly improved compared to last season.
