Kevin Hart's Jalen Hurts stunt prompts radical response from Dwayne Johnson
Jalen Hurts' Philadelphia Eagles are prepping for the Super Bowl in Arizona and no one's more psyched for the showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs than Eagles fan Kevin Hart.
The comedy legend was so hyped up for Super Bowl 57 that it appears he has literally gone all-out and bought an eagle. Yep.
"I believe when you work hard, you should treat yourself, and that's exactly what I did," Hart said.
"Ladies and gentleman, I splurged a little bit. I went and bought an eagle."
Hart said he splashed $16.5 million on that eagle, naming it 'Jalen Hurts.'
"I'm the only Black man with an eagle during Black History Month," Hart said.
Now, naturally, the responses came pouring in, even from the Eagles' official Instagram account, which welcomed 'Jalen' to the Hart household.
Dwayne Johnson, however, had a peculiar response to Kevin Hart's stunt.
Dwayne Johnson has a plan for Kevin Hart's 'Jalen Hurts'
Johnson was quick to leave a comment on Hart's Instagram, saying:
"I pray for this eagle to claw your eyes out. I know how scared you are of wild animals so this brings me great joy."
Johnson's reply garnered 12k likes and counting, prompting Hart to tell him to "f**k off" as a retort.
For what it's worth, it appears Kevin Hart is fully intent on making it down to Arizona for Super Bowl LVII.
The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Glendale as Patrick Mahomes chases a second Super Bowl ring.
While the Chiefs are seemingly favored to win the Super Bowl, MVP favorite Patrick Mahomes is yet to fully recover from a high-ankle sprain. That injury, however, did not stop Mahomes from leading the Chiefs to a win over the Cincinnati Bengals in a dramatic showdown.
The Eagles, meanwhile, dusted off the threat from the San Francisco 49ers through a little help from the NFL gods.
Niners QB Brock Purdy was resigned to sit most of the game out through injury, while de facto QB1 Trey Lance was already out for the season. There was some hope that Jimmy Garoppolo would make it back in time for the 49ers, though that was not to be.
In any case, Jalen Hurts will now face off against Patrick Mahomes on the grandest stage of them all this weekend. Incidentally, both QBs are also among the frontrunners for regular season MVP award.
