Kirk Cousins and wife Julie provide for over 300 children by partnering with Atlanta non-profit

Kirk Cousins and his wife, Julie, are settling into their new town as the quarterback begins his first season with the Atlanta Falcons. And the couple has made sure to give back to the community right from the beginning.

The couple partnered up with City of Refuge, a non-profit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia, which helps individuals and families out of crisis, focusing on housing, health, wellness and youth development.

As per their Instagram post, Julie and Kirk Cousins helped over 300 children with new sneakers and backpacks.

"The 2024 Back to School Bash was so much fun! Huge thanks to [Kirk Cousins] and [Julie Cousins] for their help in providing new sneakers and backpacks for over 300 students, setting them up for a successful school year!" the caption from the organization read.

Kirk Cousins focused on learning and growing with the Atlanta Falcons

Kirk Cousins' move to Atlanta from the Minnesota Vikings hasn't been without allegations. With tampering allegations and rumors of the Falcons regretting the trade, fans continue to question the decision as the 2024 NFL season approaches.

Speaking about his dynamic with Michael Penix Jr. and the team during a press conference, Cousins said:

“It’s been great. You know, it continues to be kind of that working force together. There’s so much we all are kind of having to learn right now and grow together in. And so we’re doing that."

Speaking of his new teammates individually, Cousins was happy to lean on veteran Taylor Heinicke.

“Michael’s doing great. John [Paddock]'s doing great. Taylor’s awesome. It’s so good to have a person in the room who’s started dozens of games and has been in the fire and really has that experience. I love being able to lean on that. So, Taylor’s been a huge asset,” he said.

As the NFL season approaches, only time will tell how Cousins will fit in with his new team.
