Kylie Kelce makes feelings clear on negative impact of Jason Kelce's media career
Following his NFL retirement earlier this year, Jason Kelce joined ESPN as an analyst for Monday Night Countdown. Generally, retirement allows NFL stars to spend more time with their family, which they missed out on during their active years. However, it didn't go like that for the former center.
During the latest episode of her "Not Gonna Lie" podcast on Thursday, Kelce's wife Kylie complained about not getting enough time from the ex-Eagles star despite his retirement. Talking about how she has been seeing Jason "less now," Kylie said:
“I see him less now in retirement than I did when he was playing football. We had a set schedule then. Now, it’s an absolute free for all. He’s working so hard and really grinding right now. So I just make sure that I’m covered [with their daughters: Wyatt, 5, Elliotte 3, and Bennett, 1] and if that means he’s at the house and someone else is there just to cover or make up the difference, then that’s what we have going on."
Kylie also explained how Jason's media career has also impacted the time he gives to their kids.
"When I have to do something — coaching, something for the Eagles Autism Foundation, something for the podcast, a doctor’s appointment even — I will schedule childcare," Kylie added.
"My husband can tell me 72 times that he’s going to be in the house when I have to leave it, I will still schedule childcare. And it’s not a knock on my husband. My husband is busier than he’s ever been.”
Kylie Kelce opened up about facing backlash over 'cussing around kids' claims
Kylie Kelce found herself on the wrong side of the fans following her confession to "cuss" around her kids during the trailer of the "Not Gonna Lie" podcast. In Thursday's episode of the podcast, Kylie said:
"The problem that I have here is, was it probably an exaggeration that I curse in front of my kids every day? Yes. Do I curse in front of my kids on most days? Also yes. But my kids know like I said before, they are grown. They don't try to use them. They don't see them. They don't stop at their tracks."
"They are not appalled by them because I am not using them at my children, they are just used in front of my children," she added.
"I'll tell you at the end of the day I'm teaching my kids kindness. I'm teaching them to be strong and independent. Probably, they will probably curse when they are older and I stand by that. If they choose not to, that's okay too." (37:24)
During the same podcast, Kylie Kelce also appeared taking friendly jabs at husband Jason and brother-in-law Travis Kelce's "New Heights" podcast. Talking about Travis, Kylie said how she gets "offended" when fans compare her daughter Ellie's looks with the Chiefs' tight end.
