Lamar Jackson drops bombshell trade request on eve of NFL owners meet - "Had to make a business decision"
With Lamar Jackson trade rumors heating up each day, he's fueled the fire even more this morning as he took to Twitter to announce his trade request.
On Monday March 27, Jackson announced that he had officially requested a trade from the team on March 2:
"As of March 2nd I requested a trade from the Ravens organization for which the Ravens has not been interested in meeting my value, any and everyone that’s has met me or been around me know I love the game of football and my dream is to help a team."
The Baltimore Ravens are getting ready for the 2023 season with Lamar Jackson
Lamar Jackson announced that he requested a trade at the same time Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh spoke to reporters.
Harbaugh was bombarded with questions regarding Jackson's trade request and said that the team is getting ready for the season with Jackson:
“I’m getting ready for Lamar. … When Lamar gets back on this train, it’s moving full speed. ... "We love him.”
It sounds like both parties are far apart from any deal or even seeing eye-to-eye. With the draft looming around the corner, trade talks may continue to heat up and Jackson may end up on another team.
