"Why would he show up?" - Lamar Jackson is fed up, NFL analyst claims with Ravens warned to expect holdout

Lamar Jackson issued a drop-mic moment on Monday by revealing that he asked for a trade at the top of the month. After years of silence and positive words, the tone has shifted for the quarterback.

Speaking on Get Up, NFL analyst Marcus Spears braced for a holdout in light of the revelation.

"I feel like Lamar Jackson is fed up and remember, this has been a process over time. I think a lot of people think of this in context of all of the news that just came out this year. But remember, last year we were having conversations about Lamar Jackson and then he played a year without any guaranteed money or salary as far as a long term and got injured."

Will Lamar Jackson be with the Ravens in September?

He continued, explaining that there will be no more 'Mr. Nice Guy'.

"And now everybody talks about the five games missed two years ago and the five games missed this year. And you bring that up because now it is negotiating time and what he's asking for..."
"I feel like yes, [Lamar Jackson has taken his last snap with the Ravens]. I feel like Lamar Jackson is FED UP!"

Lastly, he explained that the nice days are behind both sides until a long-term deal has been reached:

"Baltimore may be stubborn and they may hold out, but I don't think their quarterback is going to return to the facility and just play nice again... Why would he show up without any guarantees or any long-term contract being done?"

Pundits speculate about Lamar Jackson's options as 2023 offseason drama hits fever pitch

Heading into the offseason, many viewed the quarterback's exit from the team as one of the least likely of a sea of outcomes. Now, after asking for a trade, the quarterback appears to be actively attempting to claw his way out of Baltimore.

If he does get away, where could the quarterback eventually end up? Many talk show hosts have spent multiple segments underlining what he brings to the table on the field. Some believe that when the storm is over, the quarterback could end up with a team that doesn't end up getting a quarterback in the NFL Draft.

The Patriots and the New York Jets, as well as the Indianapolis Colts, are some of the most talked-about destinations for the quarterback. Of course, there is no official link between the quarterback and any of those destinations, but many have connected the teams to him based on their needs at the position.

After the NFL Draft concludes, some of those teams could be off the board and then the options become even narrower for the quarterback. Where will Lamar Jackson end up?
