Lamar Jackson signs fresh endorsement to build on $100,500,000 net worth

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has been the buzz of the NFL this week as the team prepares for its season opener on Thursday. However, just before it was time for him to receive his NFL paycheck, he added another source of income.

The Ravens quarterback signed an endorsement deal with Gatorade, according to Front Office Sports. Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson and LA Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua were also signed.

Jackson is expected to get his own advertisement with the brand, adding to his already immense wealth. At age 27, Jackson has amassed $100.5 million in net worth, per Forbes. The key builder of his net worth has been a five-year, $260 million extension given by the Ravens in April 2023.

The deal runs through 2027, although there is an out one year earlier, per Spotrac. One could argue that Jackson has already made a massive down payment on holding up his end of the bargain after taking the team to the AFC Championship game and earning an MVP last season.

Following an AFC Championship appearance and MVP season, the expectations have only increased. Fans, analysts, coaches, and everyone involved with the Baltimore Ravens expect league-leading play from their quarterback.

The first task would be to avenge the AFC Championship loss against Patrick Mahomes. After that, he'll need to back up his performance from last season, logging a top seed in the AFC.

Then in January, he will need to rip through the playoffs, likely defeat the Kansas City Chiefs, and reach the Super Bowl. Many analysts have placed pressure on Joe Flacco's successor to win the Super Bowl.

Overall, few players have as much on their plate as Lamar Jackson. Will he deliver or could he see a smaller showing this year?
