"Never did s**t but eat d**k" - Lamar Jackson snaps at Ravens fan on Twitter after embarrassing loss vs. Jaguars
Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens suffered a surprise 28-27 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. They led 12-10 heading into the fourth quarter and took a seven-point lead on the brink of the two-minute warning. But a stellar touchdown drive by Trevor Lawrence, followed by a gutsy two-point conversion call by head coach Doug Pederson, saw the Jaguars snatch the lead.
On the ensuing drive, the Ravens offense set up a 68-yard game-winning field goal attempt for Justin Tucker. However, the kicker couldn't get enough distance and the Jaguars secured a huge win. Jackson was undoubtedly miffed about the result and made the critical mistake of logging in to social after a tough loss.
The former MVP stumbled upon a tweet by a Ravens fan. The fan implored the team not to hand Lamar Jackson a $250 million extension and allow him to leave the franchise and spend the cap space wisely:
"When someone is asking for over 250 mil guaranteed like [Lamar Jackson]... games like this should not come to [Justin Tucker]. Let Lamar walk and spend that money on a well rounded team."
Jackson, likely still upset about the loss, took offense to the tweet and snapped back, replying:
"Boy STFU y'all be cappin too much on this app mf never smelt a football field never did s**t but eat d**k!!"
Jackson has since deleted the tweet, but it was too late as screenshots of the interaction had already gone viral:
Lamar Jackson deleted the tweet where he called out a fan but did not shy away from showing his frustration about the loss. The superstar quarterback quoted-retweeted a video of a Ravens fan having a meltdown on camera and captioned it "Same":
Are Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens' chokers?
The Baltimore Ravens have lost four games this season. In each loss, they held a substantial lead before blowing it late in the game. They blew a 21-point fourth-quarter lead against the Miami Dolphins and a 20-3 lead against the Buffalo Bills. Then there was the 20-10 lead against the New York Giants and a seven-point lead with two minutes to go against the Jaguars.
Coach John Harbaugh will undoubtedly be frustrated with his team's inability to close games. The Ravens will feel they should be 11-0, but instead sit at 7-4, the same record as the Cincinnati Bengals. Baltimore has the talent to make a deep run in the playoffs this season, but their inability to hold on to leads might become their undoing.
