LeBron James left dumbfounded by Matthew Stafford's sensational 298-yard, 2 TD performance in 26-20 OT win vs. Seahawks
Matthew Stafford is not giving up on the 2024 season. The Los Angeles Rams quarterback had to endure an awful start to the year, with many offensive players getting injured and his team falling to a 1-4 record. However, they have put together three straight wins and are right back into the NFC West fight.
His performance on Sunday was decisive for the Rams' comeback win. The veteran quarterback finished the game with 298 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He also delivered a fantastic strike to Demarcus Robinson in overtime, scoring the game-winning touchdown to win 26-20 against the Seattle Seahawks.
The excellent performance from the veteran quarterback was noted from many fans outside the NFL circles. Superstar NBA player LeBron James, who play for the Los Angeles Lakers, took to Twitter to show how impressed he was with Stafford's final touchdown:
Both James and Stafford are similar in the idea that they moved to Los Angeles and won a ring after establishing their careers in other franchises. Of course, LeBron's impact on basketball is unmatched, but they both had excellent moments in the city.
Matthew Stafford stats: How is the Rams quarterback playing in the 2024 season?
This has not been the easiest year for the veteran quarterback or the franchise. They expected to fight for the NFC West, but their year was affected by injuries as soon as it started.
Stafford has lost his main targets, Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, for multiple weeks, and his numbers have suffered as a result. In six weeks, he has 9 touchdowns, 7 interceptions and 1.969 touchdowns.
He has also not thrown for over 300 yards since Week 1, when they lost an overtime game against the Detroit Lions. Throughout his career, the quarterback has been known for having a strong arm and throwing many vertical passes, but this hasn't been the theme in 2024.
What's the next game for the Los Angeles Rams?
In Week 10, Sean McVay's team has a great opportunity to score a fourth straight win, as they'll play against the Miami Dolphins at home.
The Dolphins are currently 2-6. They have lost their previous three games.
