Left-leaning ex-NFL All-Pro frustrated at Joe Biden-Kamala Harris turn of events
With the presidential elections around the corner, the Democratic Party has nominated Kamala Harris as the presidential candidate after Joe Biden dropped out. Former Houston Texans running back Arian Foster expressed his issues with the current status of the Democratic party on his podcast "Macrodosing with PFT" on Tuesday.
Foster called out the Democratic party establishment for nominating Kamala Harris as the presidential candidate without democratic voting.
“They shouldn't have ran Biden in the first place,” Foster said on the podcast. “That's what the progressive wing of the left is saying now. Like, ‘This is y'all's fault.’ Now that's my fear of this election is that the hard left who very rarely has moved to vote for moderate Democrats such as Joe Biden they're extremely infuriated because now you took away the democratic process of voting.”
“If they just appoint… How are you going to bestow upon somebody the nominee without having the Democratic wing of your country vote for them? That's what's frustrating about this as a left-leaning person in America.” (22:12 – 23:10)
Foster also referenced back to 2016 when it was alleged that the Democratic party sidelined Bernie Sanders in favor of Hillary Clinton. The four-time Pro Bowler also highlighted to his fellow hosts and the audience that he is “further left” than the mainstream Democrats.
Donald Trump will face off against Kamala Harris in the 2024 US elections on November 6 for his second entry into the White House.
Aaron Rodgers shares his frustration with the political landscape
During his appearance on the podcast ‘Pardon My Take’ podcast on Monday, Aaron Rodgers expressed dissatisfaction with the ongoing election campaigns. He suggested that investing in politics would not benefit anyone. A-Rod said:
“Politics, I've said from the beginning, is an absolute sham. All they do is just talk about what they're going to do and then nothing life doesn't actually get better for any of us whether it's a Republican or Democrat. And we're still just doing the same f*cking two-party system.”
With the assassination attempt on Donald Trump and Joe Biden's sudden withdrawal from the race, the political arena has become a lot more heated. Kamala Harris is now the presumed nominee from the Democratic side.
