"Legends are being taken away too soon" - Alvin Kamara and Darrelle Revis react to Takeoff's murder in Houston

Former NFL cornerback Darelle Revis and New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara have tweeted about the tragic death of rapper Takeoff. On Tuesday morning, news broke that Migos member Takeoff had been tragically shot and killed in Houston, Texas, overnight. He was just 28 years old.

Condolences and thoughts poured in from all over social media as everyone awoke to the shocking news.

Darelle Revis tweeted that the world is losing legends way too soon. He continued that he was a big supporter of Migos and was devastated on hearing the news of the rapper's passing.

"our legends are being taken away too soon. a big supporter of Migos. it’s just not good to wake up to news like this."

Alvin Kamara simply tweeted "RIP," which was enough to suggest that he, like everyone else, was shocked about the rapper's untimely death.

"RIP bra…"

Takeoff was at a private event at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas, when someone began shooting during the event's after party. Two others were also shot and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Alvin Kamara's biggest game of season leads Saints to shutout win over Raiders

The New Orleans Saints may only have three wins this season, but they secured their most dominant victory this Sunday. A 24-0 win over the Las Vegas Raiders was headlined by a dominant performance by running back Alvin Kamara.

The RB didn't score a single touchdown heading into Week 8 but ended Sunday's game with three. He had 18 rushes for 62 yards and a touchdown on the ground. He also had nine catches for 96 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.

Fans were doubtful that the running back would even have any production in Week 8 as he didn't start the game initially. He missed time earlier this season due to a rib injury and was feared to have been dealing with the injury yet again when he didn't start.

However, once he entered the game, he ended up being the driving force behind the Saints' dominant win over the Raiders. His versatility as not only a running back but also as a receiving option in the Saints offense made him the X-factor in the game and a candidate for one of the best performances of the week.
