"Lie n***a" - Colts LB condemns Anthony Richardson after QB checked out of Texans game

One of the most bizarre moments came this past Sunday when Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson checked himself out of their Week 8 game against the Houston Texans.

During the third quarter, Richardson took himself out after he evaded a sack and got back to the line of scrimmage on second-and-goal. Richardson said in a post-game interview that he was tired and he told coach Shane Steichen that he needed a break.

However, his teammate, linebacker Zaire Franklin was surprised. Franklin thinks that even if that were the case of Richardson being tired, he should have never told the media.

Franklin said via The Trenches Show:

"I guess where I'm at with it is just, he said, 'You know, I ain't going to lie. I was tired.' Lie n***a, lie please! Help me. Lie like you stole something. This is the dead, honest truth. Because I honestly, I appreciate it because it was respectful to everybody."
"I haven't even really had a chance to talk to Anthony about the situation, so that's first foremost," Franklin added. "But that being said, you can't like you can't say that to the media, but it's just it's just not that response that you could give as a leader on a team like after a situation. It's just not how you want to go about it."

On Tuesday, Anthony Richardson's week didn't get any better; in fact, it got worse. In a press conference speaking to the media, Steichen said that moving forward, the team will start backup quarterback Joe Flacco, with Richardson moving to the bench.

"I'm just looking where we’re at as a football team, sitting at .500 with a lot of football left, and feel that Joe gives us the best chance going forward,” Steichen said.

Richardson has completed only 44.8% of his passes this season, totaling 985 yards, four touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Flacco, on the other hand, has completed 65.7% of his passes for 716 yards, seven touchdowns and one interception through four games this season.

This week the Colts will face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Do you think they have a better chance to win with Joe Flacco?
