Lions HC Dan Campbell to sell $4,500,000 home in Bloomfield Hills for 'security concerns': Report

Within a few years, Dan Campbell has secured a massive following in Detroit. The famed head coach has set his roots deep in the city and the surrounding areas with his work on the field. However, off the field, Campbell has security issues, prompting him to shift houses.

In 2021, after landing the top coaching job at the Detroit Lions, HC Campbell purchased a lavish $3.5 million home. This 7,800-square-foot Cape Cod-style mansion was built by former Red Wings center and Hockey Hall of Famer Igor Larionov in 2013.

While speaking to Crain’s, Dan Campbell and his wife Holly reiterated that they “loved” this house with Detroit's sporting history. The Lions' head coach and former player highlighted the appealing aspects of the house and cited the privacy behind selling it.

“The neighborhood, everything,” Campbell said to Crain’s. “There’s plenty of space, it’s on 2 acres, and the home is beautiful. It’s just that people figured out where we lived when we lost.”

The couple listed the house for $4.5 million. A week later, the house located near Woodward Avenue and Quarton Road on the Birmingham-Bloomfield Hills border has found new owners. As per Crain's, the new owners are “huge” fans of the Lions.

After selling this five-bedroom, seven-bathroom, and two-dedicated office space home, Dan Campbell has purchased a new place in Oakland County.

Dan Campbell doesn’t want the Super Bowl to cloud their season

Last year, the Lions shocked the world by making one of the deepest playoff runs. Campbell’s team was eliminated in the NFC Championship game; however, he doesn’t want the players to talk about the Super Bowl anymore. Speaking to the press before the season, Dan Campbell highlighted his mindset.

“We're to the point, now, where that doesn't even matter anymore. Like what does that do? Does nothing. Now it's about the steps to get to there," Campbell said regarding Super Bowl talk.

After two home games with a 1-1 record, the Lions will face the Arizona Cardinals in their first away game of the season. The game will take place on Sunday and is scheduled for a 4:25 PM CDT kickoff.
