NFL reporter Tom Pelissero reported that despite the Saints firing Allen, they won't be in a firesale before tomorrow's trade deadline. This comes after multiple reports of teams being interested in standout cornerback Marshon Lattimore.

"While the #Saints fired Dennis Allen after a seven-game losing streak, it doesn't sound like it'll be a firesale before tomorrow's trade deadline. They have gotten calls and could move the likes of CB Marshon Lattimore. But a widespread selloff seems unlikely."

Shortly after it was reported that the New Orleans Saints fired head coach Dennis Allen, the team confirmed the news via a news release.
Saints manager Mickey Loomis said:
"Dennis has been part of our organization for many years. He is highly regarded within the NFL. He has been extremely loyal and professional and most importantly an excellent football coach for us. All of this makes today ver tough for me and our organziation. However, this decision is something that I felt we needed to make at this time."
Allen has been coaching in the NFL for over 20 seasons. He began his NFL coaching stint in 2002 with the Atlanta Falcons as a defensive quality control coordinator.
It is unclear what Allen will do next, but the Saints will now look to head in a new direction.
