‘Make him fight Jon Jones’ – Le’Veon Bell wants to see how tough Zac Stacy is after video of violent attack on ex-girlfriend

Jon "Bones" Jones is making his long-awaited return to the octagon on Saturday at UFC 285 as he faces Ciryl Gane for the undisputed heavyweight title. But former NFL running back Le'Veon Bell wishes Jones was fighting Zac Stacy.

Upon seeing the video of Stacy attacking his ex-girlfriend, Bell Tweeted that he should have to fight Jones as a punishment.

Bell Tweeted:

The former NFL running back has been sentenced to six months in jail and one year of probation after attacking his girlfriend in front of their child in 2021. He was seen throwing his ex-girlfriend to the ground with the television falling on top of her. Their child, who was only a few months old at the time, was right in front of the two during the incident.

The video was caught on home videos and was shared by his ex-girlfriend, Kristin Evans. Appearing in Orange County court, he received his sentencing on Monday.

Evans posted a video on her personal Instagram page advocating for mental health treatment over jail and prison.

Bell likely made the comments about Jones because he's likely tuning into his fight tomorrow night.

Jones, the former light heavyweight of the UFC, will be making his heavyweight debut on Saturday. He is making a return into the octagon after three years, with his last bout coming against Dominick Reyes in February 2020.
