Mall of America shooting: New York Giants reveal multiple players were in the premises after a gunman opened fire killing 19-year-old
As per reports, it was found that multiple New York Giants players were present in the Mall of America where a deadly shooting took place on Friday night. During the shooting, a 19-year-old man was also killed.
The Giants' executive vice president of communications, Pat Hanlon, told The Associated Press that the team was staying at a hotel near the mall and that some players were in the mall when the incident occurred.
Fortunately, all the Giants players reached their hotel safely. They are set to face the Minnesota Vikings on Christmas Eve and the players that were present in the mall will look forward to putting that moment behind them.
Public shootings have been a regular occurrence in the States, and this was another example of why gun laws need to be examined by the government.
Mall of America shooting suspect
There appeared to be a fight between the two groups, and at one point, someone brought out a gun and shot the victim multiple times. The whole thing happened around 7:50 p.m. and lasted around 30 seconds.
During the shooting in the mall, one victim, a 19-year-old boy, was directly hit and died at the scene. Another's clothes were grazed by a bullet. As per Fox News, here's what Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges said during a press conference:
"Whoever did this, we will catch them. And whoever helps them, we will lock you up, too, This is just stupid, stupid, stupid."
He added:
"If someone is going to have complete disrespect for humanity, I don’t know if we can stop them."
The police forces will do their utmost best to catch the people that were responsible for the shooting. Until then, people around the country can only hope for the best.

The game between the New York Giants and the Minnesota Vikings that will be played in Minnesota will go on as scheduled.
The home team will hope to play their best and give the fans in Minnesota some cheer on Christmas Eve. It will be a huge game for the New York Giants who are still in the hunt for the playoffs and a loss here could spoil their season.
