Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown injury update: Cardinals could get star receiver back for Monday Night Football

When the Arizona Cardinals traded for Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown, they expected him to have a big season. Brown was brought in due to DeAndre Hopkins being suspended for the first six games of the season.

On Day 1 of the 2022 NFL draft, the Cardinals acquired Brown and the Ravens' third-round pick in exchange for the 22nd overall pick in the draft.

Unfortunately, for Brown and the Cardinals, he suffered a fractured foot and was placed on injured reserve on October 20, 2022, following their Week 6 matchup. Upon this news coming out, there was a belief that Brown could possibly miss the rest of the season as he was put on IR.

This morning, multiple news outlets reported that the Cardinals have opened the practice window for Hollywood with the chance of him playing on Monday night.

The Cardinals will host their division rival, the San Francisco 49ers, in Week 11, on Monday Night Football. Brown last played in Week 6 vs. the Seattle Seahawks. This would be the first time in five weeks that the 25-year-old would play in the NFL.

Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown entered the league in 2019. He was drafted at number 25 overall by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2019 NFL draft.

As a rookie, he played in 14 games while starting 11. Brown recorded 46 catches for 584 yards and seven touchdowns. He had a career-long 83-yard reception in his rookie campaign.

A year later, the WR set a career-high in touchdowns in a single season with eight, while recording 58 receptions and 769 yards.

He had a career season in this third year in the league, setting a career-high in receptions (91) and yards (1,008) while reaching the end zone six times.

Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown was then traded to the Arizona Cardinals on draft day. In four games played with the Cardinals this season, Brown has recorded 43 catches for 485 yards and three touchdowns.

It'll be a big help for the Cardinals whenever they get him back and it could be as soon as this week.
